Video of ParisWeb presentation

Filed under:

Back in November, I took part to the ParisWeb 2007 conference, which I enjoyed very much (despite the public transportation strikes that made circulating in Paris nightmarish).

The conference organizers just released the videos of the various presentations, including the one I did on the Mobile Web Best Practices:

ParisWeb 2007

Filed under:

I’ve been invited to participate the Paris Web conference, in (how-surprisingly) Paris; I’ll be closing the conference on November 16, presenting the ongoing work of W3C on the Mobile Web, and in particular the recent progress on mobileOK.

I’ve heard plenty of good things on last year edition of the conference, and the programme this year looks quite promising as well; so, no doubt, I’ll be there!

DTD comparison

As a follow-up on my toying with DTDs, I added a new Python script to my toolbox this morning: allows to compare the vocabularies defined in several DTDs to see which elements and attributes are present or absent among them.

For instance, running python has allowed me to build a comparison of the various mobile XHTML flavors with the content of XHTML 1.0 Strict.

I haven’t included XHTML MP 1.1 and XHTML MP 1.2 in that comparison chart since the officlal DTDs seems to have syntax errors, reported by the script as follows:
